Me noodling around on my Acer Aspire One A150 with Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 to get some custom kext to 1024×600 res, has audio and ethernet working wired. The machine is available, no hardware mods (not yet), but shows that the Atom Netbook platform is not quite a bit with the right software - near-zero latency audio through CoreAudio. I threw some patterns together in GarageBand, and flew them into Logic Pro 8 All the backing tracks to play live in Logic Audio. The keyboard is aM-Audio Axiom 61st Ignore the flubbed down, it's just a demo:)

Another Fine Netbook From Acer, WARNING: The specifications netbook change rapidly, as their prices. In order to ensure for the detection of changes from the date of this review.
OVERVIEW: bright clear display, elegant response (for a few hours of adding and removing programs after the first 31 amendments to download Win7) allowed streaming video (running Apple HD trailers in fine mode 480, Hulu was sometimes "moved" injured "Big" non-Apple HD trailers fine; ABC.GO.COM TV shows ran well enough, Hulu will not run in 480 or in full screen mode, YouTube HQ limit switch). The smaller screen and smaller keyboard at a time when others were near netbooks super light laptop, but at least it's under 3 pounds and charger. And you can not beat the battery life!

Win 7 Starter Is Like An Ad For Macintosh, The netbook hardware is beautiful. The buttons are very few 'close, but this is dictated by the practice of small size. With the trackpad multi-finger control is a great feature. The only downside is Windows 7 Starter Edition. There is almost nothing you can do to customize your desktop. You can not change the color or background image. Mac users love the philosophy of Microsoft on this.

Turn the brightness down. A bright screen can drain your battery. Turn the brightness down as low as you can manage.
Defragment the hard drive. Defragment your hard drive reorganizes all the files stored there, so they are used more efficiently. The better your computer can access and check files that are lessBattery power you use. Defragment your hard drive once a month once a week, depending on how much you use your computer.
